Looking back...10 year anniversary cavalcade part 3

Looking back...

It has been 10 years since Birn+Partners saw the light of day. An idea. An ambition. A passion for building something unique. It is a pleasure to see that the customers who entrusted us the first year are still clients of the company. The company is built on relationships and networks, where we help each other, both among customers and within Birn+Partners. We call it the B+P Community. Through mutual support, shared networks, interest in each other, the desire to contribute, and the interest in creating, we have managed to establish a community between customers, candidates, partners, and employees that is truly unique.

"There are only two ways to succeed: be smarter than everyone else or work harder than everyone else”

Mikkel Birn
CEO and Founder

I don't believe that we at B+P are smarter than others, but I can confidently say that we have worked harder than most to become successful. The desire for development and pride in the company has always been a fundamental need. It is a need that drives results and people to succeed together.

The first 10 years have been challenging regarding building the company, an identity, a brand, trust, structure, and a business. In all modesty, I believe we have succeeded. The company now has 60 employees and generates a turnover of 70 million, but most importantly, we have had growth every year. We are evolving.

"Two steps forward and one step back” is a statement that aligns well with our development. We have not succeeded in everything. Some decisions and processes take long time to implement. It is easier said than done. Culture and behavior among employees can be both a catalyst and a hindrance. We have never focused on macroeconomics to assess our strategy, but instead emphasized the personal relationship between client and consultant as crucial to our success. At Birn+Partners, we have taken the long road, meaning we have chosen to establish our own subsidiaries abroad. This goes against common sense and the industry's precedent, which is more characterized by loosely connected collaboration among like-minded individuals.

The next 10 years will be exciting. Significant costs have been incurred in establishing concepts, countries, and support functions, and strong countries have been established with local management in place for the future scaling of the company's operations.
